About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a pivotal role in ensuring residents’ well-being and comfort in an assisted living setting. The position provides direct nursing care, administers medications, collaborates with healthcare professionals, and oversees implementation of care plans. The role is described as a weekend warrior position and includes an additional $3.00 hourly bonus. Requirements
- Valid state LPN license.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of older adults and chronically ill people, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and record residents’ vital signs and medical information.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Supervise and support Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
