LPN, Shift Supervisor
About The Position
Tel Hai is a nonprofit Life Plan Community in Honey Brook, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The LPN, Shift Supervisor role is based in Lakeview Personal Care and supports residents’ medical needs while coordinating care and supervising Med Techs and Resident Assistants. Opportunities are available for a full-time day shift and part-time day or night shifts. Schedules include every other weekend and holiday. The supervisor responds to emergencies, contacts physicians, completes clinical assessments, requests physician services, consults pharmacists, and takes other measures as indicated. The role also performs prescribed treatments, directs delegated Med Tech assignments, manages staff duties and assignments, provides team-member feedback and counseling, and educates and advocates for residents to help them maintain their health.
Requirements
- A Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in geriatrics and/or with people with dementia is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and provide for residents’ medical needs through emergency response, physician contact, accurate and complete clinical assessments, requests for physician services, pharmacist consultations, and other measures as indicated.
- Perform prescribed treatments.
- Direct Med Tech assignments when delegating.
- Supervise Med Techs and Resident Assistants.
- Coordinate resident care and manage staff duties and assignments.
- Provide feedback and counseling to team members.
- Educate residents about nutrition, hygiene, exercise, and medications to support their health.
- Advocate for residents with other health care providers.
