About The Position

The Shift Supervisor is a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse who supervises licensed nurses and other nursing personnel during the assigned shift. The supervisor manages care delivery in accordance with the company’s philosophy, professional nursing practice standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The role calls for a supportive presence with residents, leadership and mentoring of staff, attention to clinical detail, and collaboration across disciplines to meet the needs of residents, families, and staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Indiana RN or LPN license, or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
• Management experience or willingness and desire to learn proper approaches to managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise licensed nurses and other nursing personnel during the assigned shift.
• Manage the provision of resident care in accordance with company philosophy, professional nursing practice standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Lead, teach, and mentor staff, with management experience or a willingness to learn staff-management approaches.
• Use clinical knowledge to address the needs of residents, families, and staff.
• Promote communication and interdisciplinary approaches to resident care.
