About The Position
Join the Clinic team in Redwood Falls as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. The role supports patients in Redwood Falls and surrounding communities by providing clinical and administrative assistance in the clinic. Work includes rooming patients, assisting with procedures, administering medications and injections, supporting providers with patient care, maintaining clean workspaces and exam rooms, managing patient scheduling and flow, and organizing and documenting patient information. This is a part-time position working 48 hours every two weeks. The schedule is weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay is $24.69–$37.08 per hour for LPNs and $21.97–$32.96 per hour for CMAs, with pay determined by experience. Hiring bonuses of $2,500 for LPNs and $2,000 for CMAs, plus a $5,000 relocation bonus, are available to eligible candidates. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or have a medical assistant degree, as applicable to the role.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card, as required by established policy.
- Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders, and medication orders and communicate them to patients and staff.
- For LPN candidates: Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
- For Medical Assistant candidates: Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential. Proof of passing notification is required before starting, with verification of official certification or registration within three months of the exam date.
- Medical Assistant certification or registration must be from an approved organization: AAMA, AMT, NCCT (NCMA), NHA, or the ARMA program.
Responsibilities
- Room patients according to CentraCare policies, protocols, and/or standards.
- Assist with procedures and administer medications and injections.
- Assist providers and perform other patient care tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of workspaces and exam rooms.
- Manage patient schedules and patient flow.
- Organize patient information and document it appropriately.
