About The Position
Jefferson Healthcare is seeking a skilled and organized Medical Assistant-Certified or LPN to join the Sheridan Clinic Primary Care team. The role supports physicians, nurses, and administrative staff while helping the clinic operate smoothly and providing patients with a positive experience. As a first point of contact, the employee guides patients through their visits with professionalism and empathy. Clinical duties include recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, administering injections and vaccinations, and maintaining organized records in the electronic medical record system. Success requires attention to detail, effective multitasking in a fast-paced environment, compassion, discretion, and a commitment to patient privacy and satisfaction. The position is 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, on the day shift, and is bonus eligible. The position will remain open until filled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Washington State certification in good standing; MA-C or LPN required.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Compassion, discretion, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient privacy and satisfaction.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for patients and guide them through clinic visits with professionalism and empathy.
- Support physicians, nurses, and the administrative team.
- Record patients' vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Administer injections and vaccinations.
- Maintain organized records in the electronic medical record system.
- Stay current in required knowledge, certifications, and licenses, and meet hospital-mandated education requirements.
