About The Position
Southeast Colorado Hospital District is seeking a Long Term Care (LTC) Medication/Treatment Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a 13-week contract position in Springfield, Colorado. This is a day shift position with hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week. The role involves administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident conditions, documenting changes, completing nursing notes, communicating with physicians and families, and supervising CNAs.
Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN License
- Current BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 Year of LTC Experience
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Medication Administration & Treatments
- Experience Supervising CNAs
- Cerner EMR Experience a Plus
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Monitor resident conditions and document changes
- Complete nursing notes and required charting accurately
- Communicate with physicians, families, and care teams
- Supervise and direct CNAs during assigned shifts
- Ensure quality resident care and compliance with facility policies
- Promote teamwork across departments and shifts
