About The Position

Missouri Ozarks Community Health is seeking a full-time LPN Float for its nursing team, based at the Ava Clinic. The LPN works directly with a medical provider to support routine patient care and perform a variety of medical procedures. The position offers the option of a four- or five-day work week. The successful candidate is motivated, results-driven, has strong interpersonal skills, can think independently and act decisively, holds current licensure, understands medical procedures, and follows strict hygiene standards. Travel to other clinic locations is required.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Unrestricted license to practice Practical Nursing in the State of Missouri.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel to other clinic locations.
Pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin.

Nice To Haves

CPR (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Place patients in exam rooms and record vital signs, current complaints, and relevant medical history.
Assist the medical provider with patient treatment and specialized procedures.
Provide patient education and applicable preventative services.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information.
Document all patient contacts, triage phone calls, and refer complicated illnesses to medical providers.
Perform in-house, CLIA-waived laboratory tests according to protocols.
Log laboratory testing, review results returned from outside labs, check them off as received, and refer abnormal results to the appropriate provider.
Administer medications according to provider orders and medication administration protocols.
Assist with outreach activities as directed.
