About The Position

Missouri Ozarks Community Health is seeking a full-time LPN Float based at its Ava Clinic. The LPN works directly with a medical provider to support routine patient care and perform a wide variety of medical procedures. The role offers a choice of a four- or five-day work week and requires willingness to travel to other clinic locations. Candidates should be motivated and results-driven, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, think independently, act decisively when needed, hold current licensure, understand medical procedures, and adhere to strict hygiene standards. The position is in a clinic setting and involves in-person work. Potential employees must pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Unrestricted license to practice Practical Nursing in the State of Missouri.
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel to other clinic locations.
Pass a drug/alcohol screening before employment can begin.

Nice To Haves

CPR (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Place patients in exam rooms and record vital signs, current complaints, and relevant medical history.
Assist the medical provider with patient treatment and specialized procedures.
Provide patient education and applicable preventative services.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records and information.
Document patient contacts, triage phone calls, and refer complicated illnesses to medical providers.
Perform in-house, CLIA-waived laboratory tests according to protocols.
Log laboratory testing, review results returned from outside labs, check results off as received, and refer abnormal results to the correct provider.
Administer medications according to provider orders and medication administration protocols.
Assist with outreach activities as directed.
