About The Position

As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse at HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Summit Medical Center, you will help deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute cardiopulmonary setting. The role involves focused nursing care for patients with complex needs, monitoring for changes in condition, documenting care, supporting patients and families, and collaborating with the care team as patients progress toward recovery.

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of the employment start date.
• Associate degree, certificate, or vocational school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused nursing care for patients with complex needs, including administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions such as cardiac monitoring or respiratory support.
• Observe patients for changes in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, neurological signs, or other status changes and promptly escalate concerns.
• Document timely and accurate updates to support care-team coordination in a high-acuity environment.
• Help patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps.
• Work with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and support their transition from intensive care toward recovery.
