Low Voltage Technician | 4-Day Work Week | $24-$30/hr + OT
About The Position
TEKsystems is hiring Low Voltage Technicians for commercial security and access control projects in the Lowcountry, with a four-day Monday-through-Thursday schedule. The role is described as a long-term opportunity with consistent commercial project work, training, and potential career growth into Lead Technician and Foreman positions. The position is based in Beaufort, South Carolina, and is fully onsite. It is contract-to-hire. Requirements
- At least one year of installation experience in low voltage, cabling, security, electrical, telecommunications, or related trades.
- Comfort working from ladders and lifts.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with low voltage, structured cabling, access control, CCTV, security systems, fire alarm, telecommunications, electrical installation, data cabling, or alarm installation.
Responsibilities
- Install access control, CCTV, and commercial security systems.
- Pull, route, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling.
- Install card readers, door hardware, magnetic locks, and electric strikes.
- Mount and configure cameras and surveillance equipment.
- Read blueprints and device layouts.
- Troubleshoot system issues and assist with system startups.
- Work alongside experienced technicians and project leaders.
