About The Position

Jeff Wyler Springfield Auto Mall is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Lot Technician to join our team! If you enjoy working around vehicles, staying active, and being part of a fast-paced dealership environment, this could be a great opportunity to start or grow your career in the automotive industry. No dealership experience? No problem! We are willing to train the right person. This position is an excellent entry point for someone interested in eventually moving into Sales, Service, Parts, Detail, or other dealership positions. If you're dependable, energetic, and ready to work, we want to meet you!

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work on your feet throughout the day.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Hardworking and willing to stay busy.
  • Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions.
  • Able to safely drive and maneuver vehicles.
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work.
  • Friendly and professional with customers and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive or dealership experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Moving and parking vehicles throughout the dealership lot.
  • Maintaining an organized and attractive vehicle inventory.
  • Washing, cleaning, and preparing vehicles for display and delivery.
  • Fueling vehicles and checking basic vehicle condition.
  • Delivering and picking up vehicles as needed.
  • Assisting the sales and service departments with vehicle movement.
  • Keeping the lot, showroom entrances, and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
  • Installing license plates, floor mats, vehicle accessories, and other basic items as needed.
  • Checking vehicles for obvious damage or cleanliness issues and reporting concerns to management.
  • Helping prepare vehicles for customer appointments, test drives, and deliveries.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized lot environment.
  • Performing other dealership support duties as assigned.
