About The Position
Camping World is seeking a Lot Porter to provide driving and support services as part of its service team. The role involves moving and preparing recreational vehicles, maintaining the lot and physical inventory, and helping keep units and equipment secure and in proper working order. The position requires physical activity and work in varied environmental conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use a yard tractor and/or forklift.
- Ability to drive an RV.
- Experience using generators and operating slide-outs.
- Ability to repair small items and identify problem units.
- Valid driver's license required.
- May lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
- Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
- Work in environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness.
Nice To Haves
- Towing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Park and move RV units in a timely fashion.
- Install and remove window prices on recreational vehicles as instructed.
- Maintain weekly lot washes and ensure units and aisles are clean.
- Write work orders, track problems, and ensure units are in proper working order.
- Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, and keep the lot clean and professional in appearance.
- Keep units and equipment secure from weather.
- Maintain physical inventory on a weekly basis.
- Ensure slide-outs are in, jacks and steps are down, selected awnings are open, and doors are unlocked.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
