Lot Operations Specialist II (Manheim)
About The Position
This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining the placement of vehicles within designated zones or moving them to defined areas. The specialist will conduct walks to identify vehicle conditions (runners/non-runners), oversee lot coordination to ensure continuous traffic flow, and manage keys for unsafe vehicles, reporting issues to management. They will monitor traffic for potential blockages, direct drivers on vehicle assignments, and move running vehicles to their proper work destinations. Additionally, the specialist will direct transporters to the correct drop zones, report transport damage, and confirm that all delivered vehicles are inoperable. Accurate vehicle information must be input into a handheld device, and problems or additional notes should be reported. The role also involves cooperating with safety leadership to support safety activities and championing Cox/Manheim values. Other duties may be assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump starting vehicles)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- 1 year customer service experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move to defined area.
- Conduct walks to identify vehicles condition as runners/non-runners.
- Oversee lot coordination to maintain the continuous flow of traffic.
- Pull and maintain the keys for any unsafe vehicles and report to management.
- Monitor traffic identifying potential traffic blockage.
- Direct drivers on vehicles assignment.
- Move running vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper work destinations.
- Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Confirm with the transporters that all vehicles being delivered are inoperable.
- Input accurate vehicle information into handheld device using crew management reporting problems and additional notes.
- Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with safety excellence.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
