Lot Operations Specialist I (Manheim)
About The Position
This role is responsible for organizing and parking vehicles in designated zones to maximize lot efficiency. The specialist will direct the physical flow of vehicles through sales lanes and back to the parking lot after a sale. They will also ensure cars are operational by jump-starting batteries, identifying flat tires, fueling vehicles, or managing push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles. The position requires operating a wide variety of customer vehicles safely, both automatic and manual transmissions. The specialist is expected to champion company values, treat all employees with respect, implement company policies, and represent the company's safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Generally, less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and parking vehicles in designated zones based on digital dashboard instructions to maximize lot efficiency.
- Directing the physical flow of vehicles through the sales lanes to the auction block and back to the parking lot after a sale.
- Ensuring cars are operational by jump-starting dead batteries, identifying flat tires, fueling up, or managing push-truck operators for inoperable vehicles.
- Operating a wide variety of customer vehicles (both automatic and manual transmissions) safely across the lot.
- Set an example in behavior by championing Cox/Manheim values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect.
- Implement all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
- Be a visible representation of Manheim’s safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures, and modeling the behaviors related to these directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
