About The Position

The Lot Maintenance Assistant performs basic duties in support of the parts, service, and sales departments. The role includes housekeeping, maintaining dealership facilities, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment, and keeping store areas clean and organized. The assistant may also maintain dealership grounds, move displays or equipment, and operate a forklift to transport parts, equipment, and supplies. This is a safety-sensitive position. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.

• Ability to regularly walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine housekeeping tasks.
• Help maintain the condition of department vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain the facility and vehicles.
• May perform grounds maintenance for dealer properties.
• May assist in moving displays or equipment within the dealership.
• Keep all store areas clean and organized.
• May operate a forklift to transport parts, equipment, and supplies for the dealership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
