About The Position

Tom Wood Lexus is seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Lot Attendant to support its Sales Department. The role helps keep the dealership lot organized, vehicles presentation-ready, and the sales team prepared to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate enjoys working around vehicles, stays active throughout the day, takes pride in organization, and is willing to help wherever needed. The Lot Attendant maintains the professional appearance of the sales lot, moves and parks new and pre-owned vehicles, keeps vehicles clean and ready for demonstrations and delivery, retrieves vehicles for customers and Sales Consultants, and assists with dealer trades, deliveries, and transportation. The role also includes checking vehicles for visible damage or concerns, clearing snow, ice, and debris when necessary, handling keys appropriately, following safety procedures, and providing other support to the Sales Department. The position involves working outdoors in varying Indiana weather and standing, walking, bending, and remaining active for extended periods. Previous dealership, automotive, detailing, or lot attendant experience is helpful but not required. Employment offers are contingent on passing a background check, motor vehicle record review, social security verification, and drug screening.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including luxury vehicles, SUVs, and trucks.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Ability to work outdoors in varying Indiana weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and remain active for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance throughout the sales lot.
Move and park new and pre-owned vehicles as directed by the sales team and management.
Arrange vehicles so the lot is organized and easy for customers to navigate.
Help keep vehicles clean, presentable, fueled, and ready for customer demonstrations and delivery.
Retrieve vehicles for customers and Sales Consultants.
Assist with dealer trades, vehicle deliveries, and transportation as needed.
Check vehicles for obvious damage or concerns when moving or receiving inventory and notify management.
Remove snow, ice, debris, or other material from vehicles and lot areas when necessary.
Ensure vehicle keys are properly handled and returned to designated locations.
Follow dealership safety procedures when operating or moving vehicles.
Provide additional support to the Sales Department as needed.
