The Lot Assistant is responsible for ensuring equipment is in a zero-energy state before servicing, handling chemicals according to Safety Data Sheets, and operating cranes within manufacturer guidelines. They must review and follow manufacturer guidelines for safe repair processes, use and inspect tools regularly, and operate industrial vehicles and forklifts safely with a valid certification. The role involves performing Job Hazard Analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards, conducting walk-around inspections to identify safety concerns on equipment, and reporting them to supervisors or customers. The Lot Assistant is expected to promote Agri-Service's safety culture, attend all safety training, look out for coworkers, and advocate for safe working habits by using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). They must also operate vehicles safely, follow company safety policies on job sites, and perform required inspections.
