About The Position

Ashley Furniture is hiring a Loss Prevention Specialist (Security Guard) to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment at an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center. The role enforces company policies and procedures, coordinates safety training, writes incident reports, and performs accident and loss prevention duties to help protect people, products, and operations.

The position works Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and pays $17–$21 per hour. It is considered safety-sensitive. The work environment has moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and operating material-handling equipment. The role may require extended standing or walking on concrete floors and use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced setting includes time-sensitive and safety-sensitive operations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice or Business, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in Safety, Security, or Loss Prevention.
• First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Valid driver's license.
• Safety-first attitude and attention to detail.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming presence at the front gate.
• Enforce policies that protect employees and maintain workplace safety.
• Document and resolve security matters, including writing incident reports.
• Verify credentials and manage site entry.
• Identify and support continuous improvements to safety processes.
• Collaborate on accident prevention initiatives.
• Escort personnel to and from the property as needed.
• Execute command post procedures during natural or man-made disasters.
• Monitor severe weather and follow the emergency action plan.
• Coordinate safety training and perform accident and loss prevention duties.
