About The Position

National Beef Leathers in St. Joseph, Missouri, is hiring Loss Prevention Officers for an on-site, safety-sensitive position. The starting wage is $18.50 per hour, with an increase of $0.50 per hour after 90 days. The schedule rotates every four weeks between Monday through Wednesday full shifts plus a Thursday half shift, and Friday through Sunday full shifts plus a Thursday half shift. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Must successfully complete a background check.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Must be available to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong ethical character, dependability, objectivity, professionalism, and integrity.
Good people and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Surveillance skills, including CCTV.
Exemplary performance and attendance record at previous employment.
Light lifting ability and safe, professional reporting skills are noted as qualifications.

Responsibilities

Monitor, control, and document vehicular traffic.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers by controlling access and monitoring plant premises, assets, and personnel.
Secure premises by patrolling property.
Inspect vehicles, bags, and lunch boxes.
Monitor controlled access points.
Complete required reports in a timely manner.
Record observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Prevent loss or damage to company property by providing a uniformed presence.
Investigate incidents of irregularity.
Contribute to a team effort.
Protect product, equipment, and tools from leaving the property.
Prevent weapons, alcohol, and drugs from entering the property.
Perform other duties as assigned.
