This individual will protect the Company's assets, including associates, merchandise, and property. They will monitor all ID badges for entry/exit to the facility and warehouse for all associates, as well as visitors, vendors, and contractors. The role involves monitoring and controlling sample merchandise, RTV (Return to Vendor), damage, and charity product disposal in accordance with company guidelines. The specialist will also monitor all fire and safety regulations within the facility, monitor FA/BA (Fire Alarms/Burglar Alarms) for proper responses and/or dispatching, and ensure trailers are properly handled at the gatehouse and in trailer yards. Responsibilities include responding to emergency situations (medical, fire, weather, hazardous material, security-related incidents) and taking appropriate actions per Marmaxx policy, assisting in evacuations, and ensuring 0% physical security breakdowns. The role also involves conducting ongoing loss prevention, safety, and shrinkage awareness programs for associates and management, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed, and reporting unsafe conditions and acts. Additionally, the specialist will discover and document facts by conducting basic investigations into associate dishonesty, power equipment accidents, and personnel injury accidents. They will conduct audits to uncover dishonesty, paperwork errors, and shrink-related opportunities, ensuring compliance with government regulations and insurance requirements. The role also includes initiating/maintaining investigations of dishonest acts, sabotage, and accidents, and conducting safety and security tours of the distribution center to identify unsafe acts and program weaknesses. Finally, they will conduct audits to identify accuracy issues and operational execution areas.
