About The Position

The Loss Prevention Detective completes daily tasks for store loss prevention and safety programs while maintaining positive relationships with Store Management. The role identifies and resolves internal and external theft, conducts apprehensions according to established policies and guidelines, and communicates with Associates about damage and shrink initiatives. The detective also participates in investigations and surveillance, supports shrink reduction goals, and promotes safety awareness and a safe store environment. Responsibilities include providing courteous and knowledgeable customer service; maintaining confidentiality and promoting honesty and integrity; documenting and distributing paperwork accurately and promptly; maintaining appropriate evidence; and understanding law enforcement procedures while participating professionally in legal activities as needed. The role coordinates shrink-related activities with Store Management, encourages Associates to use shrink-reduction resources, and adheres to labor laws and company policies and procedures. The position is located at Sierra Store 0041 in Littleton, Colorado. Starting pay is $15.75 to $20.40 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Complete daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs.
Maintain positive relationships with Store Management.
Conduct apprehensions in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
Communicate with store Associates about damage and shrink initiatives.
Identify and resolve internal and external theft.
Adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies.
Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Observe, apprehend, and/or deter acts of dishonesty from outside sources.
Participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned.
Ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity.
Complete and distribute paperwork accurately and promptly.
Maintain appropriate evidence, understand law enforcement procedures, and participate professionally in legal activities as needed.
Coordinate and complete shrink-related activities in partnership with Store Management.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Encourage Associates to use shrink-reduction resources.
Promote safety awareness and support maintenance of a safe environment.
