Loss Control Surveyor
About The Position
ReSource Pro is seeking experienced Loss Control Surveyors to join its team of auditors and surveyors. This is a 1099 contract position requiring the surveyor to reside locally. The surveyor completes loss control surveys by arranging appointments with policyholders, interviewing them to verify business operations, visiting and inspecting insured properties, photographing the premises, identifying hazards, and making improvement recommendations. Surveyors measure and calculate square footage, then prepare and submit thorough reports through a provided web-based system for ReSource Pro’s quality assurance and processing. The position involves representing ReSource Pro professionally at job sites and may require occasional travel to more remote areas in Idaho Falls or Pocatello, Idaho. Contractors set their own schedules and propose an hourly or project-based rate; the stated budget is $40 per billable hour. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and other employment-related expenses.
Requirements
- Experienced Loss Control Surveyor.
- Reside locally.
- Ability to take occasional trips to more remote areas in Idaho Falls/Pocatello, Idaho.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Computer, preferably a laptop, and high-speed internet access; the computer must use Microsoft Windows or a Mac with a Windows virtual machine installed.
- Measurement device.
- Digital camera or cell phone capable of taking pictures.
- Strong commitment to superior service.
- Strong self-motivation and self-discipline.
- Superior organizational, time-management, and computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences and interact tactfully and effectively in difficult situations.
- Ability to adjust to new situations and changing priorities.
- Demonstrated personal integrity and ethical behavior.
