Loss Control Field Inspector
About The Position
NEIS, part of ARMStrong Insurance Services, is seeking Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct insurance loss control inspections of commercial or residential properties. This part-time, occasional role is based from home and requires travel to inspection locations within an assigned territory. Hours can vary from week to week, and inspectors set their own schedules. Inspectors apply manual rules and company standards to identify potential risks and hazards, complete physical loss control surveys, and prepare reports that include multiple photographs. The role also involves arranging appointments with insured parties and reporting survey progress internally.
Requirements
- Competent use of a digital camera, word processing, and email.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record under NEIS guidelines.
- Live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
- Maintain automobile insurance while employed, with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.
- Travel to inspection locations within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inspections of commercial or residential properties.
- Apply manual rules and company standards to identify possible risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
- Prepare a schedule that maximizes use of time and ensures service deadlines are met.
- Contact insured parties by phone, email, or text to arrange appointments as necessary.
- Complete physical loss control surveys to identify current issues or hazards.
- Prepare required reports after inspections, including multiple photographs.
- Communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
