About The Position

NEIS, part of ARMStrong Insurance Services, is seeking part-time, occasional Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct loss control inspections of commercial or residential properties. The job is based from home and requires travel to inspection locations within an assigned territory. Hours may vary from week to week, and inspectors make their own schedules. Inspectors apply manual rules and company standards to identify risks and hazards, arrange appointments with insureds, complete physical surveys, take multiple photographs, prepare required reports, and communicate progress internally. Compensation is roughly $50 or more per inspection, depending on the job and location. The position includes on-the-job training, weekly base pay, weekly mileage reimbursement, and weekly production pay.

Requirements

Competent use of a digital camera, word-processing software, and email.
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record based on NEIS guidelines.
Must live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
Must maintain automobile insurance while employed, with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical inspections of commercial or residential properties.
Apply manual rules and company standards to identify potential risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
Prepare a schedule that makes optimal use of time and meets service timelines.
Contact insureds by phone, email, or text to arrange appointments.
Complete physical loss control surveys to identify current issues or hazards.
Prepare required reports after inspections, including multiple photographs.
Communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
