Loss Control Field Inspector

About The Position

NEIS, a subsidiary of ARMStrong Insurance Services, is seeking Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct insurance loss control inspections of commercial or residential properties. This part-time, occasional role has hours that may vary from week to week, and inspectors set their own schedules. The job is home-based and requires travel to inspection locations within an assigned territory. Compensation is approximately $50 or more per inspection, depending on the job and location. Training is provided, and base pay, mileage reimbursement, and production pay are paid weekly.

Requirements

Competent use of a digital camera, word-processing software, and email.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record under NEIS guidelines.
Live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
Maintain automobile insurance while employed, with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.

Responsibilities

Conduct physical inspections of commercial or residential properties.
Apply manual rules and company standards to identify potential risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
Prepare a schedule that makes optimal use of time and ensures service deadlines are met.
Contact insured parties by phone, email, or text as needed to arrange appointments.
Complete physical loss control surveys to identify existing issues or hazards.
Prepare required reports, including multiple photographs, after inspections.
Communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
