Loss Control Field Inspector
About The Position
NEIS, part of ARMStrong Insurance Services, is hiring Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct insurance loss control inspections of commercial or residential properties. This is a part-time, occasional position with hours that can vary from week to week; inspectors set their own schedules. The job is based from home and requires travel to inspection locations within an assigned territory. Inspectors assess properties for potential risks and hazards, complete physical loss control surveys, and submit reports that include multiple pictures. They also arrange appointments with insured parties and communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
Requirements
- Competent use of a digital camera, word processing, and email.
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record based on NEIS guidelines.
- Live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
- Maintain automobile insurance while employed, with bodily injury limits of at least $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident, or $300,000 combined.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inspections of commercial or residential properties.
- Apply manual rules and company standards to identify possible risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
- Prepare a schedule that makes optimal use of time and ensures service timelines are met.
- Contact insured parties by phone, email, or text to arrange appointments as needed.
- Complete physical loss control surveys to identify current issues or hazards.
- Prepare required reports, including multiple pictures, after physical inspections.
- Communicate survey status through internal progress reports.
