About The Position

Associated Services Inspections, Ltd. (ASI) is hiring an independent contractor to conduct commercial, residential, and agricultural property inspections in the Charleston, South Carolina area. ASI provides underwriting reports to insurance carriers and underwriters, supported by high-resolution images and detailed reporting. Inspectors receive assignments electronically, review requirements, schedule appointments with insured parties, and conduct on-site property evaluations. They document building systems, fire protection and life safety, maintenance and housekeeping, general liability exposures, property conditions, and risk factors. Inspectors typically capture 20–35 interior and exterior photos per structure, take measurements, interview insured parties, update assignment status online, and complete reports using Loss Control 360 with Rapid Sketch. ASI pays a flat fee per case based on client requirements, inspection type, and assignment complexity. Most standard inspections pay around $75; specialized or technically advanced cases may pay more.
