Long Term Substitute - Grade 4
About The Position
The Long Term Substitute - Grade 4 instructs students and facilitates their learning in the absence of the regular teacher. The position is at Scott K6 and is expected to last until May 28, 2027. Salary is commensurate with the recommended candidate’s education and experience: $256.83 per day for an entry-level licensed teacher or $175 per day for a substitute holding a valid Indiana Substitute Permit. The position is eligible for employee medical coverage. Requirements
- A minimum of 30 college credit hours.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
- Create a classroom conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Maintain the established routine of the school and classroom procedures to which assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance as an example to students.
- Remain at school for the entire school day unless instructed to leave by the building principal.
