About The Position

Southwest Christian School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher to provide temporary support for a regular classroom teacher on leave. The role is for Theatre in the Middle and High School and serves as an extension of the regular classroom teacher. The substitute is expected to manage the classroom, follow the teacher’s directions and lesson plans, and provide students with consistent, clear direction. The position is five days per week, beginning in January 2027 and continuing through March 2027.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom.
• Follow directions and lesson plans left by the regular classroom teacher.
• Provide students with consistent and clear direction.
• Work prayerfully with administration, faculty, students, and families to support the school's mission.
• Cooperate with administrators and other school leadership in following policies and procedures related to school activities.
• Accept and carry out responsibilities and make competent, professional decisions.
• Work with parents, students, and school staff to support the educational program.
