About The Position
Middletown Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute Teacher for Grade 8 Language Arts at Beman Middle School. The mission of Middletown Public Schools is to cultivate the brilliance in each student by empowering them with knowledge and skills, fostering community, encouraging growth and exploration, and embracing authenticity to create a sense of belonging. This role is a temporary assignment from mid-December 2026 through late March 2027.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree.
- At least 12 credits in the content/area to be taught (if assignment extends beyond 60 days).
Nice To Haves
- Applicable CT Educator Certifications.
Responsibilities
- Teach Grade 8 Language Arts curriculum.
- Manage classroom activities and student behavior.
- Communicate with school administration and parents as needed.
