Long-Term Substitute, Third Grade Teacher
About The Position
Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School is seeking a long-term substitute third grade teacher beginning January 4, 2027, and continuing for the remainder of the school year. The teacher will join a dynamic and collaborative third-grade team. Strong classroom management is preferred. CHRC approval is required; teaching experience or training is preferred. The teacher will plan and deliver elementary instruction, support students’ academic and social growth, and collaborate with professional staff and families. Responsibilities
- Create effective rapport with students.
- Plan and implement the approved elementary curriculum.
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Differentiate instruction to meet individual students’ needs.
- Evaluate students’ academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
- Identify student needs and collaborate with professional staff in assessing and supporting students.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with families.
