Long Term Care Doctor - Post-Acute Care Physician
About The Position
MedCap Health is seeking a physician to provide post-acute care in skilled nursing facilities. The physician will lead care teams and manage complex cases for patients discharged early from hospitals, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and specialists to deliver hospital-level care in a long-term setting. The role supports continuity, quality, and compassionate patient care. The position offers flexible scheduling, including full-time, part-time, or customized hours. No overnight or weekend work is required. This is a contract position paying $100,000–$250,000+/year, with malpractice coverage and administrative support. MedCap Health is a physician-led organization providing services across multiple specialties and partnering with more than 200 skilled nursing facilities in 11 states. Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in internal medicine, critical care, family practice, or geriatrics.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in leadership positions or as a hospitalist is strongly preferred.
