Long Term Care Physician – Post-Acute Care Doctor
About The Position
MedCap Health is expanding into the community and seeking a Long Term Care Physician to help build its clinical team and deliver post-acute and long-term care. The physician provides care in skilled nursing facilities, manages complex cases involving patients discharged early from hospitals, and collaborates with Nurse Practitioners and specialists to deliver hospital-level care in a long-term setting. The role emphasizes continuity, quality, and compassion in patient interactions. The role offers flexible scheduling options and no overnight or weekend work. The company has more than 70 providers and facilities across the nation.
Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in internal medicine, geriatrics, critical care, or family practice.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a hospitalist or in leadership positions is strongly preferred.
