About The Position

As a Logistics Technician, you will execute and coordinate logistics tasks related to the movement, control, and tracking of materials and equipment. The position is onsite in Round Rock, Texas. The work supports inbound and outbound shipments, inventory records, customer deliveries, and on-time material availability across procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and quality functions. The role may require exposure to export-controlled information and additional security screening. Because of the nature of work at the site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person due to the nature of work performed at the site.
Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations.
Experience using counting scales.
Working knowledge of pick-and-pack processes (kitting) and exposure to forklift safety.
Working knowledge of import/export compliance.
Proficiency with ERP and warehouse management systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and organize work to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Execute and coordinate the flow of inbound and outbound shipments.
Identify potential logistics workflow improvements and cost savings, and participate in Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
Route outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls.
Create required export documentation to support international orders.
Accurately enter material movements and logistics records into the inventory management system.
Manage load utilization.
Coordinate the distribution point for incoming and outgoing materials.
Coordinate common carrier activities.
Maintain customer databases and profiles by customer location.
Maintain customer delivery time windows.
Communicate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and quality to support on-time material availability.
Report shortages or delays that may affect production schedules.
