About The Position

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for booking up to 100 loads weekly, tracking and communicating with carriers and the sales department on pick-up and deliveries. This role requires anticipating issues, proactive problem-solving, and resolving retroactive supply chain disruptions. The specialist will coordinate, plan, and communicate with the sales department, ensuring the logistics department operates in a manner that promotes company sustainability. Additionally, the role involves ensuring carriers are DOT compliant and meet the required rating category, prioritizing safety standards, maintaining strong carrier relationships, and monitoring carrier insurance coverage certificates. Requirements

Excellent communication and computer skills
Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities
Understanding of logistics industry and related logistics tools
Ability to operate in a continual fast-paced environment, handle and adapt to stressful situations
Solid understanding of shipping, warehousing, and overall plant operations
