About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has a unique combination of education, research, and clinical programs that encourages and supports teamwork and diversity. The incumbent’s clinical role will be as a primary care physician in the Family Medical Clinic at the North Central Regional Campus, Batesville. The faculty member’s clinical time will include private clinics and attending in the outpatient setting. At least a portion of the incumbent’s clinical activity will consist of precepting Family Medicine residents. Teaching residents and medical students is an important part of faculty members’ roles. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the teaching of residents and medical students in the clinic and the classroom as called upon. The faculty member will also be expected to participate in departmental activities, such as conferences, meetings, and educational activities and also contribute to quality improvement projects with other members of the faculty. Some of this work should lead to presentations and publications. Time and effort allocations will be determined as your responsibilities evolve.

Requirements

  • MD/DO Degree
  • Arkansas Medical License
  • DEA Certificate
  • Board Certification
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities
