About The Position

RXO is a provider of transportation solutions, using technology and a large network to help shippers and carriers transport goods across North America. The Logistics Specialist provides logistics support, including order entry, routing and dispatching, and traffic coordination. The position maintains customer and load information, monitors pickups and deliveries, coordinates delivery appointments and driver instructions, communicates load status, and documents shipment issues.

Requirements

At least 1 year of logistics experience.
General knowledge of the transportation industry.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

Maintain customer profile information and enter customer-tendered loads into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken, and provide receivers and customers with load-status updates.
Monitor daily pickups and deliveries and verify that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
Take check calls from drivers, ensure loads are on track for on-time delivery, and validate load data before marking loads delivered for accounting purposes.
Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages, and complete appropriate documentation.
Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads.
Accept or decline loads based on account managers’ direction.
Provide detailed directions and instructions to route drivers properly.
