About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with organizations nationwide to transport medical supplies and specimens. The Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver works part-time in Marlton, New Jersey, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The role involves driving a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials. Drivers use a handheld scanning device to track items, follow operating procedures and service schedules, and provide professional, courteous service to clients and the public.

Route duties and assignments may vary based on client and business needs, and drivers must be able to perform duties across routes to which they may be assigned. The role requires loading and unloading vehicles, vehicle inspections and upkeep, safe driving in varying weather conditions, and the ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, walking long distances, and standing for extended periods. COVID-19 vaccination is required depending on location and local mandates.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• At least 19 years of age and an active driver's license held for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screens.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof depending on location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, lift items off storage racks, walk long distances, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image through appearance and interactions with clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Perform duties across assigned routes as business and client needs require, adapting to changing route assignments.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
