About The Position

The Logistics Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating delivery routes, daily dispatch activities, and ensuring efficient and timely deliveries. This role focuses on optimizing routes, maintaining communication across departments.

Requirements

  • Experience in a shipping or logistics role required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills required.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy environment and handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Adhere to company attendance and punctuality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is a plus.
  • Local dispatch knowledge and understanding of surrounding areas is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and route fleet truck deliveries prior to the day of delivery, including emergency deliveries and Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs).
  • Create shipment plans for next-day loading activities.
  • Maintain open communication with all departments, customer service, and customers to ensure proper workflow and routing.
  • Coordinate trailer switching in the yard when necessary or arrange resources to complete the task.
  • Utilize dispatch technology and related resources effectively.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to company attendance and punctuality standards.
