About The Position

Pacific Supply is a distributor of building products with more than 50 locations throughout the Western United States. The company has served the construction industry and local communities since 1953 and supports employee development as part of its growth and success. The Logistics Trainee works under the general supervision of the Logistics Manager. The position is responsible for scheduling deliveries, communicating with customers, checking orders, ensuring trucks are properly loaded, and performing other duties as assigned. The listed compensation range is $18.00–$24.00.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in logistics or traffic operations; preferred but not required.
Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

Schedule deliveries and communicate with drivers and customers to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Provide yard personnel with load lists containing truck-loading instructions and delivery sequences.
Coordinate daily load pre-staging and the following day's schedules to support efficient truck turnaround times on subsequent runs.
Check orders for accuracy and completeness and ensure materials are loaded correctly.
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories and report results accurately.
Maintain purchasing and receiving processes as established by the company.
