About The Position

Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Logistics III position located in the Corinth, MS facility. This position will coordinate broader material flow within and outside Mississippi Operations. Logistics 3 positions will include shipping or expediting operations. Logistics 3 operations will be expected to monitor compliance.

Requirements

  • 1 year of Logistics 2 experience or equivalent supply chain experience
  • Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
  • Required to read/write and interpret documents
  • Knowledge of engines and component
  • Knowledge of inventory systems
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift.
  • Any current agency workers applying to this position must have worked the required 300 hours to be considered as well as meeting all requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Prior use of hoists.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous forklift experience
  • Experience utilizing supply chain systems

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environment
  • May be required to use an overhead hoist to move large components
  • May require utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of area
  • May perform material handling, unloading parts from tubs or baskets according to production schedule
  • May require coordination of services from outside suppliers or shipping vendors
  • May require operating automated packaging equipment
  • May require checking material and entering data
  • Utilize Yard View and/or TW Slot systems
  • May interact with dangerous goods by loading, unloading, picking, packing, preparing or signing shipping documents
  • Would receive appropriate compliance learning associated with the handling of dangerous goods
  • Must be able to pass initial and recurrent certification training
  • Utilize various computer systems including email on a regular basis
  • All operators will adhere to Built in Safety guidelines
  • Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated
  • Operator will work in a team environment
  • Candidate will work in an environment without close supervision
  • Cross training in other positions up to and including Salary Grade 5 may be required, based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met.
