Logistics Coordinator (Entry-Level)
About The Position
The Logistics Coordinator supports daily freight brokerage operations alongside Transportation Brokers. The role manages active loads, uses digital tools and the company’s proprietary transportation management system (TMS), and helps ensure shipments move smoothly. The company provides training on its proprietary TMS. Responsibilities span load setup and shipment tracking, carrier outreach and relationship-building, compliance and documentation, branch accounting support, and customer service. The position is suited to someone who is comfortable with technology, attentive to detail, effective in a fast-paced environment, and committed to clear communication and high-touch customer support.
Requirements
- Strong practical command of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar.
- Strong attention to detail when managing load data, compliance records, and financial documents.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who can thrive under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Comfort with modern technology and digital tools.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to or familiarity with AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Build loads, schedule pickup and delivery appointments, and set up vetted carriers in digital platforms.
- Conduct proactive carrier update and check calls, track active shipments, and provide real-time updates to shippers and customers.
- Contact carriers about lane availability, equipment types, and capacity, and build strong carrier relationships.
- Request and verify insurance certificates, handle rate confirmations, maintain carrier resources, and keep records accurate.
- Support branch accounting by matching invoices and issuing Com-checks or Quick Pays.
- Use digital tools to support daily office workflows.
- Provide high-touch customer support in accordance with the company’s Customer, Company, and Office principles.
