About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator supports daily freight brokerage operations alongside Transportation Brokers. The role involves managing active loads, using digital tools and the company’s proprietary transportation management system (TMS), and helping ensure shipments move smoothly. Allen Lund Company provides training on its proprietary TMS. The position also supports carrier relationships, shipment tracking, documentation and compliance, branch accounting, and customer service in a fast-paced, technology-forward environment.

Requirements

Strong practical command of Google Workspace, including Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when managing load data, compliance records, and financial documents.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic team-player approach and ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
Comfort with and willingness to embrace technology and digital tools.

Exposure to or familiarity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

Build loads, schedule pickup and delivery appointments, and set up vetted carriers in digital platforms.
Conduct carrier update and check calls, track active shipments, and provide timely updates to shippers and customers.
Contact carriers about lane availability, equipment types, and capacity, and build strong carrier relationships.
Request and verify insurance certificates, handle rate confirmations, maintain carrier resources, and keep accurate records.
Support branch accounting by matching invoices and issuing Com-checks or Quick Pays.
Use digital tools to support daily office workflows.
Provide high-touch customer support in accordance with the company’s Customer, Company, and Office principles.
