Summary: Responsible for communication, coordination and physical pick up/drop off of GIK internally between CAP programs. Also responsible for communication and coordination of donation pick-up and other purchased items from outside vendors.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies Required
  • Years of Experience: 2 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
  • Certifications and Licensure: Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
  • CAP Driving Certification (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required
  • In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
  • DOT Medical Card Required
  • CDL - Commercial Driver's License Class B Required
  • Obtain and maintain forklift/box truck certification Required
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk Lift 50 lb and carry 20 ft Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance Sit for extended periods of time Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses Have good hearing capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates transporting of goods and materials for all CAP programs as needed, but primarily picks up donations for Grateful Bread Food Pantry/Jackson Food pantry on a weekly basis and delivers pantry boxes to participants at Grateful Bread as needed.
  • Serves as the main contact for pantry GIK donors and assists in building and maintaining relationships.
  • In collaboration with pantry coordinators, coordinates the placement of donated or purchased inventory in the Grateful Bread and Jackson County Food Pantries to ensure it is stored safely and necessary supplies are available.
  • Assist with other pantry operations as needed, including providing necessary statistics and reporting to manager and coordinators.
  • Provide required reporting of GIK donations to God's Pantry Food Bank and program manager as required weekly and monthly.
