Job Summary This important role will be examining, verifying accuracy, processing shipping / receiving documents, manifests, invoices, bills of lading. Processing shipments on USP World Ship and Fed Ex Ship Manger manifest systems, as well as other carriers. Confirm and correspond with customer shipping notifications systems and export brokers as required. Process via AES applicable export shipments. Facilitate the timely shipping and receiving to meet internal and external customer demand.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and other software to maintain inventory controls
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Requires accuracy in reading and writing numbers
  • Ability to communicate effectively, to interpret and accurately carry out both written and verbal instructions
  • Must be honest, reliable, and punctual
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming and outgoing shipments / receivals by checking them physically
  • Check products for defects and accuracy.
  • Process customers’ orders by ensuring that the right shipment is on its way.
  • Perform shipment receiving duties while ensuring the right item has been delivered.
  • Report and replace any defective item prior to packing.
  • Prepare and paste labels on shipments.
  • Prepare invoices and delivery orders.
  • Ensure that all transactions are recorded in company database.
  • Verify accuracy of orders by matching them with quantities and types.
  • Ensure that items are properly packed and labeled.
  • Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner.
  • Operate Forklift / Reach Lift to transport shipments from the storage area to the pallet.
  • Handle space arrangements for incoming shipments in the storage areas.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is cleaned and always maintained.
