About The Position

The Logistics Coordinator provides overall direction throughout the Dedicated Fleet operation and operational assistance to the Project Manager. The role supports fleet operations, communications, planning and dispatch, administrative processes, reporting, maintenance scheduling, safety compliance, and driver payroll and expenses.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics and/or transportation.
Computer applications experience, including MS Office and TMW, strongly desired.
Excellent customer service, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and multitask.
Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary.

Nice To Haves

Experience with MS Office and TMW is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive and encouraging working relationships with all drivers.
Communicate service issues to appropriate internal NFI personnel and departments and external customers.
Perform load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch using Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources.
Coordinate daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management system, TMW.
Coordinate with the home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate weekly customer invoices.
Ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Provide weekly KPI and performance data reports to internal and external parties.
Coordinate daily scheduling of truck and trailer maintenance.
Work with the safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance, and hours-of-service issues.
Assist the Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security, and Labor policies.
Provide departmental coverage during vacations and holidays if necessary.
Manage and maintain driver payroll.
Audit and approve driver expense reports.
Provide assistance to the Project Manager wherever needed.
