About The Position

This role involves planning, documenting, and facilitating global cross-border supply strategies, including compliance with global trade standards and in-country permitting requirements. The Logistics Coordinator will ensure the timely delivery of products such as clinical specimens, supplies, and research materials to their final destinations. This position requires attending clinical project meetings to gather information and translating clinical trial protocol details into effective supply plans that adhere to critical timeline and budget targets. Additionally, the role involves developing risk-mitigation strategies to prevent delays and unnecessary expenses within the supply chain. The coordinator will track shipment journeys using various tools to ensure material stability and meet delivery deadlines, build relationships with couriers, and gain proficiency in relevant logistics software and databases. A key responsibility is ensuring shipping materials are validated according to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment
Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Self-starter, possessing a strong work ethic, ability to drive change, and passion for helping others

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of biological tissue transportation and logistics preferred
At least 1 year of central lab and/or clinical research experience or possesses transferable skills preferred

Responsibilities

Plan, document, and facilitate global cross-border supply strategies, including compliance to global trade standards and in-country permitting requirements.
Translate clinical trial protocol information into supply plans that meet critical timeline and budget targets.
Provide risk-mitigation strategies to avoid undue delays or expenses with the supply chain.
Track and prepare shipment journey information utilizing databases, spreadsheets, and other tools to ensure material stability and on time requirements.
Build business relationships with couriers and establish a working knowledge of using the appropriate logistics software and databases.
Ensure shipping materials are appropriately validated per regulatory requirement.
