About The Position

This position is for a Logistics Coordinator III in Spring Hill, TN, within Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division. Ryder is a Fortune 500 company that provides industry-leading logistics expertise and supply chain solutions to businesses. The role involves maintaining and balancing the inbound/outbound process of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet daily production needs, providing timely communications to other departments and leadership, and supporting all other warehouse operation functions and personnel. The Logistic Coordinator also provides support related to warehouse, transportation, inventory, or general offices and may be required to support clients after hours via cell phone rotation and remote equipment. Active communication with internal and external customers on operational issues is essential to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year or more experience transportation, warehouse or distribution environment
  • Microsoft Office; intermediate level
  • Knowledge/experience in transportation environment, (i.e.: Shipping, receiving and inventory management, distribution or dispatch.) ; intermediate level
  • Knowledge of warehouse and or software applications, routing and dispatch software systems ; intermediate level
  • Understanding of DOT, OSHA, and all related safety regulations strongly; intermediate level

Responsibilities

  • Create/maintain daily dock schedules.
  • Communicate with carriers regarding setting appointments and updating load statuses.
  • Interact with the customer to communicate order changes and updates.
  • Interacts with customer and contractors - answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claims.
  • Work closely with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve and problems with the day's orders.
  • Provide tactical front-line support for all command center activities at the account level and after-hours support via cell phone and remote access as required.
  • Processes Small Package in Warehouse Management System.
  • Performs admin tasks for area or shift.
  • Maintains filing systems and documents per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Assist in supporting standard facility Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which consistently meet/exceed established goals in safety, quality, sanitation and maintenance.
  • Maintain various Excel spreadsheets and reports.
  • Execute analysis and data preparation in support Load leveling.
  • Provide all support function activity including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, reporting, analysis, and all other customer specific inquiries.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
