We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to oversee customer logistics, coordinate fleet operations, and dispatch drivers and trucks during evening and overnight hours. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, technology-savvy, and able to make quick decisions under pressure.

Previous dispatching, logistics, transportation, customer service, or operations experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Dispatch drivers and trucks to meet customer needs efficiently.
Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and workloads to maximize productivity.
Manage last-minute schedule changes, emergencies, and service interruptions.
Ensure continuous workflow by aligning driver availability with customer demand.
Utilize fleet management software to monitor truck and driver activity.
Track fleet performance and identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and driver hours-of-service requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during assigned shifts.
Handle incoming calls from customers, drivers, and team members.
Communicate operational updates, challenges, and solutions to management.
Work confidently within company software systems on both Mac and Windows platforms.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, customer orders, and fleet operations.
Generate reports and provide operational data to support decision-making.
Quickly identify and resolve issues such as delays, scheduling conflicts, equipment breakdowns, or customer concerns.
Make informed decisions in high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent customer service.
