A Logistics Analyst is responsible for the coordination and oversight of drivers, trucks, and containers to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include the oversight of safety, customer experience, and productivity. The role involves analyzing daily route information, implementing changes to routing for efficiency, and responding to same-day changes or next-day planning for customer service needs. The dispatcher will also manage driver safety, collect and analyze logistics data, maintain communication with drivers, and evaluate driver performance. They will be responsible for creating routes with maximized capacity, monitoring daily routing activities, resolving issues, and assessing the need for swing routes. The ability to anticipate and adjust plans throughout the day is crucial, as is understanding daily disposal plans and determining if service requests can be pulled forward to drive efficiency and enhance customer experience. The role also includes interacting courteously with customers, ensuring routes are designed for driver safety and efficiency, prioritizing customer promises, updating call center communications, and reducing missed pickups. The dispatcher will evaluate route issues causing delays, communicate with impacted customers, and review routing media to process service exceptions. The ultimate goal is to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by adhering to universal service commitments.
